Made from ground chickpeas. Also known as gramm flour.

Use  to thicken sauces , can also be used in place of eggs to bind  (1 - 2 Tbs is equivalent to an egg). Just add a little filtered water to replace the water content of the egg.

RECIPE

SAVOURY CHICKPEA CREPES

Delicious stuffed with salad and / or neutral veg filling and served with a starch or protein meal.

1 Cup chickpea flour

1/2 Cup potato flour

1/2 tsp Mary-Ann's Herb Salt

1/2 tsp Tumeric

pinch of cayenne pepper

1 1/2 Cups iced filtered water


Mix all the dry ingredients together.  Gradually add the water until you have a smooth batter.

Set aside for 15 minutes


Heat a lightly oiled crepe pan on the stove.  Spoon in just enough batter to cover the base of the pan,  and gently cook the crepes on both sides.


SWEET  CHICKPEA PANCAKES

1 Cup chickpea flour

1/2 Cup potato flour

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp raw honey

1 1/2 Cups iced filtered water

 

1.   Mix the dry ingredients together. Gradually add the water until you have a smooth batter.

Set aside for 15 minutes to rest.

2. Heat a lightly oiled crepe pan on the stove.  Spoon in just enough batter to cover the base of

the pan and cook the crepes gently on both sides

3. Fill with M-A's Baked Muesli and sliced bananas drizzled with raw honey, or sliced bananas

 and chopped dates, drizzled lightly with raw honey.
